La memoria degli oggetti è una sovrapposizione di significati che lasciano spazio all'azione erosiva dell'immaginazione: e il mutamento del senso giunge all'improvviso, spiazzante.
Venanzio Straulino e Gino Blanc si incontrano e confrontano in uno spazio comune, che ridisegnano attraverso una serie di elementi che ciascuno di essi sceglie di collocare: oggetti comuni, alterati nel senso formale, oggetti dalla nuova vita, dalla doppia vita.
Oggetti ri-trovati, nel senso che per essi- e a volte su di essi- è piombato un nuovo segno che ne cambia il senso, con un fare giocoso e leggero, pronto a rilevare gli spazi vuoti, e ad intervenire per alterare ruoli consolidati.
A bene vedere, forse, strutture-feticcio, che nel loro essere ripensate dagli artisti, acquisiscono alcune connotazioni specifiche, identitarie:
componendo, infine, una sorta di doppio autoritratto per frammenti che si riassembla silenzioso in uno sguardo d'insieme.
L'oggetto, che rappresenta emblematicamente l'attraversamento dei secoli e della storia dell'uomo, perde l'uso quotidiano e guadagna l'immortalità della mancanza di fine, staccandosi dal processo manuale e tecnologico per giungere a divenire altro da sé.
Uno slittamento che aggiunge per sottrazione, spostandone il fine ultimo- virando su un non-fine- e modificando la connotazione primigenia.
Il tema è quello dell'incontro, della ricerca di condivisione che Blanc e Straulino pongono come punto di partenza per il lavoro comune in questa installazione, che non è altro che il risultato finale di una necessità di confronto e dialogo. Una condivisione che nella prima parte del progetto è filtrata da una corrispondenza via email, e che poi si trasforma nell'individuazione di alcuni punti necessari e imprescindibili, scritti nero su bianco: dalla parola all'immagine, nella riconfigurazione di un ambiente che contenga la trasfigurazione visiva dell'indicazione verbale.
Lo spazio è quello dove sperimentare un nuovo comfort, una nuova esperienza sensoriale: la parola, l'immagine, la fisicità, attraversando e osservando le opere con la consapevolezza che si tratta di numerosi punti di domanda, da affrontare, o se si preferisce, schivare.

The memory of the objects is an overlap of meanings that give space to the erosive action of imagination and the change of meaning comes suddenly, surprising.
Venanzio Straulino and Gino Blanc meet and confront each other in a common space, that redesign through a series of elements that each of them choose to place: common objects, altered in the formal sense, objects from the new life, with a double life.
Re-found objects, in the sense that for them-and sometimes on them-has fallen a new sign that changes its meaning, in a light and playful way, ready to take over the empty spaces, and to set in to alter consolidated roles.
Actually, perhaps, fetish-structures, who in their being reconsidered by the artists, acquire some specific connotations that define them: composing, finally, a sort of double self-portrait for fragments that silently reassembles in an overview.
The object, which emblematically represents the crossing of centuries and of human history, it loses everyday use and earn the immortality of the lack of an end, breaking away from the manual and technologic process to achieve to become something else.
One slip that adds by subtraction, shifting the ultimate goal-turning to a non-end-and changing the primitive connotation.
The theme is the meeting, the research of sharing that Blanc and Straulino place as a starting point for joint work in this installation, which is nothing but the end result of a need for discussion and dialogue.
A share that in the first part of the project is filtered by an email correspondence, and which then turns into the identification of a number of necessary and unavoidable points, written in black and white: from the word to the image, reconfigurating an environment that contains the visual transfiguration of the verbal identification.
The space is the one where is possible to experience a new comfort, a new sensory experience: the word, the image, the physicality, and through observing the works with the awareness that they come with several question marks, to deal with, or if you prefer, avoid.The object, generally narrated, gains the role of narrator, in a presence that becomes word and that overturns itself back to its point of origin.---
